Administration

What the office does

The Shree I. D. Patel office is the trust’s administrative centre. Admissions for all twelve institutions run through it, which is why a family only ever has to make one enquiry regardless of how many schools or colleges they are asking about. It also holds records, governance papers and the trust’s correspondence.

What is said about SKKM

The trust has run on donation since 1964 and takes no government grant. Every building on this campus was raised that way.

Questions

What people ask the office

How the trust is run, and where to write about it.

  • Who is legally responsible for the trust?

The board of management, a body of trustees registered with the Charity Commissioner under the Bombay Public Trusts Act. It carries responsibility for the trust, its finances and its twelve institutions.

  • How are the committees appointed?

The managing committee and the members who sit with it are named for a year at a time; the lists on these pages are for 2025–26. Membership and terms are held by the Shree I. D. Patel office.

  • Does the trust take a government grant?

No. It is a charitable trust funded by the Patidar Samaj and by fees, which is why the scholarship and freeship arrangements matter as much as they do.

  • Where do I write about a governance matter?

To the Shree I. D. Patel office at Nanikadi. Anything to do with the board, the committees or a trust record starts there rather than with an individual institution.

  • Can I see the accounts?

The annual accounts are filed with the Charity Commissioner. Write to the office if you need a copy or a specific figure.
