About the trust
What the trust holds to, and what it has refused to change since 1964.
The trust is a registered charitable trust under the Bombay Public Trusts Act. It takes no government grant and develops its projects on donation, which is a deliberate choice rather than a circumstance.
Trustees handle management, finance and guidance themselves, and are active in other social service across the district. That keeps the distance between a decision and the people it affects short.
The institutions are for girls, all of them, and that has not been diluted in sixty years.
