About the trust
What the trust set out to do
Shree Sarswati Kanya Kelvani Mandal was founded in 1983 by Shree Kadva Patidar 27 Samaj Sudharak Mandal with a single aim: to promote the education and empowerment of women in and around Kadi. It began with hostel facilities for girls who had nowhere in the town to stay, because without somewhere to live, the question of where to study did not arise.
Forty years later the aim has not changed. The trust runs twelve institutions on one campus, from nursery through to postgraduate nursing, and every one of them teaches girls.
The mission follows from that: to keep a complete education reachable for a girl from Kadi and the villages around it, without her having to leave the district to get it.
